Cruise travel? Here are some tips to stay healthy!

Traveling by cruise is fun. You have to do nothing but enjoy on the cruise ship. You are served delicious meals by the waiters; cabin steward makes your bed, the captain is driving the ship, and there are counselors to babysit your kids. In case someone falls ill, there are onboard doctors and nurses who will take your temperature and, if needed, will even give you a course of antibiotics.
However, it is good to pack your medical kit and be ready for any health issue that can be treated on a personal level.
While packing your travel medical kit, you should have the following in your bag:

  1. Insect repellent
  2. Sunscreen
  3. Personal prescription medications
  4. Adhesive tape
  5. Adhesive bandages
  6. Gauze pads
  7. Seasickness medicine (if needed)
  8. Imodium to treat diarrhea
  9. Elastic ankle sprain bandage
  10. Benadryl for allergic reactions
  11. Antihistamine cream for itchy bug bites
  12. Neosporin ointment
  13. Moleskin Adhesive cloth
  14. Pair of scissors (small in size that can fit in a regular travel kit)
  15. Pair of tweezers

One should make sure that they keep creams and liquids in their checked luggage because getting it cleared through airport security checkpoints is not easy. However, you can carry your prescribed medications along with you in your carry-on bag.
Before you pack your bag, you should pack your travel medical kit. If you need to buy something for the same, buy it online to save time. Online stores like Sears.com offer a variety for the masses. So, you can expect a number of discounts and offers on the store. For additional discounts, you may use coupons. Also, there are onboard shops. However, they will usually cost you more. In some cases, the prices are more than 50 percent higher. So, it is better to buy them from a local store or online, before leaving your house for the travel.
