Landmarks in Leuven
I had the chance to get into the small city of Leuven in Belgium. I’m not a very big fan of the cities, but I tend to accept the less crowded, more green ones. (Such as Berlin but that’s another story.) When I chose the hotel I used Google Maps to find the best hotel for my destination, I was not really willing to go by taxi or something. I guesstimated wrong, it took me in the end about 20 min to get where I wanted instead of 10 min. But a bit of walking more didn’t hurt anyone over such short distances. Tragic events in history do not count. 😛
So, little did I know (because Google Maps has the Street View for a very good reason – so people don’t use it, d’oh) that the hotel I booked (Novotel City Center for who wants to know) is nowhere else but in a very nice location. Where?
Yep. LE Stella Artois factory. I must admit it is one of my preferred beers, and I get no benefits from them in any way by saying this, so free ad folks! (Next time I get there I’d like a room in the hotel with a direct pipe to the tanks, please!)
