Best Western Premier Kaiserhof Receives Green Globe Certificate

Best Western Premier Kaiserhof, located in the historical heart of Vienna, is the first hotel in Austria to receive an important distinction: the Green Globe Certificate.

This hotel is the first property of the group in Austria, and “we are committed to offering sustainable services to our guests and conserving resources for future generations. Protection of the environment has played an important role in our company for a long time, but until now we have not gone through an independent audit and received an award, which means a lot to us. I would like to thank my dedicated team, which contributed so much to achieving this ambitious goal”, said Anton Christian Greiderer, hotel’s director.

Being green is an important direction now for almost any business. There are clients preferring a brand’s products or services for it’s implication in being green, therefore it is a great thing that Best Western is concentrating as well on this direction, as well as on providing quality services to guests in all the hotels worldwide.

“Green Globe Certification is so important to us because it is an internationally-recognized system that not only covers environmental aspects of sustainability management but also social and cultural responsibilities. We thank the Green Globe team for the excellent support of our hotel during this important time and process,” added Mr. Greiderer.

Green Globe Certification’s CEO, Guido Bauer, said: “BEST WESTERN PREMIER Kaiserhof is a beautiful hotel with a rich tradition. Built in 1896, the hotel ranked as one of the most modern hotels of its day, offering such novel conveniences – in the 19th century – as an elevator, central heating, electricity, and running water in all rooms. Today, the hotel is Austria’s pioneer in certified sustainability management, with initiatives to reduce the use of water and energy, as well as waste management and separation systems in place.”
