Yes, sometimes people make confusions and say “Good evening, Budapest” while performing in Bucharest. Don’t laugh, it happened, at at least one concert. But Budapest is Hungary’s capital, and Bucharest is Romania’s capital. However, Budapest is one of the cities that ranked number one in various tops presenting Europe’s top budget destinations (for these winter holidays, or in general).
According to Post Office Travel Money’s Christmas Market Barometer 2013, Budapest is the best value for a festive city break, while holiday rental website HouseTrip.com named Hungary’s capital the cheapest city break for UK travelers.
So, what is there to see and do in Budapest. Well, there are many beautiful places, and I for one hope to go visit this city (I passed by it while driving to Austria, Germany and The Czech Republic). Until then however, here’s an infographic compiled by www.LoveMyVouchers.co.uk that offers a pretty good idea on places to visit in Budapest. This infographic is more of a travel guide for Budapest as it highlights tourist attractions in both Buda and Pest – presented separately.
