Travel Moments In Time

In 2007 Sibiu, a city from Romania, was declared European Capital of Culture. In 2012, a city from Portugal, Guimarães, has the same honor: to be European Capital of Culture. There are 2 cities – Guimarães and Maribor. I’ll presend you Maribor tomorrow .

Guimarães, settled in the 9th century, at which time it was called Vimaranes (from the name of the warrior Vímara Peres), is a northern Portuguese city located in the district of Braga that had an important role in the formation.
