Rome: old architecture blending with new structures

I am sure everyone thinks of the Colosseum, for instance, when thinking of Rome. But this important historical vestige blends in the city with modern buildings – streets, hotels, apartment blocks and so on.

Often, we see photos showing either the historic monument, either the modern Rome, but, in fact, when in Rome, we see it all in a single glance.

This glance is what I try to show you today with the help of a photo my husband took when he was in Rome. I hope you’ll like this view over Rome – look in the background to see the top of another famous monument in the city.
