@Travel Wizard I too think that in time it is great if we can check both big cities and small towns

@Doreen Smaller cities and rural areas are, in fact, our roots. It’s a journey back in time and often we can experience new things and see life beyond computers and everyday stress.

@Alice You are right about traditions and culture and smaller towns. I guess if we want we can find beauty and interesting fact everywhere. I hope you will get to see Paris in 2010!

I prefer small town. I think local culture and traditions are better preserved there. Big cities have their charm too. Hope to visit Paris next year

I was born in a relatively large city and have lived in the country for close to 30 years, so I generally prefer visiting smaller cities and rural areas when I travel. But once in awhile, a big city really impresses me and makes me want to return. That didn’t happen in Paris. Read my blog for more.

In a perfect world, both I guess it depends on the state of mind and level of tiredness. But I for one have always been happy with going into a small town and having the big cities close by. It’s a nice mixture!
